Berenice is a 5th year medical student and our current Bristol Ortho Soc President. She is also the Medical Student Rep for the British Orthopaedic Trainees’ Association (BOTA). She recently started a blog for the Royal College of Surgeons on how to make the most of medical school. Prior to medicine she did many things and lived in many places (so many stories to tell!). She wants to pursue a career in Trauma and Orthopaedics. Outside of medicine she enjoys snowboarding, playing electric guitar, horse riding and running.

Josh is currently in 4th year and this year's Vice President. He is keen to pursue a career in Orthopaedics and is particularly interested in spinal surgery. Outside of Uni he enjoys weight-lifting, rugby and playing jazz piano

Dev is in 4th year currently and is particularly interested in the sport side of the orthopaedics especially being host to many injuries himself. He enjoys exercising regularly and has been involved in bouts of rugby and CrossFit. Shoulder surgery is something he may want to pursue in the future as well as even becoming a sports doctor.

Oscar is a 4th year medical student and one day hopes to pursue a career in orthopaedic surgery. Hand surgery is something he is particular interested in since his second year hand dissection project, and more recently spending time in theatre with the ortho and plastics teams. Outside of medicine he loves to keep fit in the gym and on the five-a-side pitch

Imi is a 5th year and is in charge of running the Brisorthosoc instagram, twitter and facebook accounts to keep our followers up to date with the events that we are hosting or promoting.She is also the first port of contact for anyone who messages these accounts with queries. She has a keen interest in orthopaedics and trauma and particularly wants to encourage more women to consider getting into orthopaedics. Outside of medicine she enjoys cycling, walks with her dog and travelling to new countries. Australia is her next travel destination where she will be doing part of my elective in orthopaedic surgery!

Iolo is a 5th year student interested in a surgical career, either in orthopaedics or ENT. He has a strong interest in global health and global surgery, and wants to utilise his skills abroad in the future.
Over the next year he aims to develop a link between orthopaedic SHOs/trainees and students, to give those with an interest in orthopaedics the opportunity to participate in more audits and projects

Lina is currently in 5th year and is interested in research and in pursuing an academic surgical career, with particular interest in Trauma & Orthopaedics. She is passionate about students voices and their involvement as well as previously been a Galenicals President. She further loves debating with Bristol Debating Union

Rishi is a 4th year medical student, having intercalated last year. He is our current Bristol Ortho Soc Secretary. He has a particular interest in joint arthroscopy and corrective surgery, with a view of pursuing a career in that field in the future. Rishi is also the current student representative for a new medical education company called ‘BiteMedicine.’ Outside of the curriculum, he enjoys playing cricket for the university.

Dr Conor Jones BMBS MbyRes is an academic foundation doctor based at Southmead Hospital He trained in Exeter where he was the president of Exeter Surgical Society and founder of the South West Orthopaedic Conference.
